Custodian
We are seeking a reliable custodian to join our team at the San Luis Obispo Elks Lodge. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and take pride in maintaining a clean and environment for our members and guests.
Position: Part-time Custodian
Hours: 20 hours/week, Monday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Tuesday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Starting Compensation: $17-$19 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain all areas of the lodge, including bathrooms, common areas, and offices
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
- Empty trash bins and replace liners
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
- Restock bathroom supplies and other consumables
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
Requirements:
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- May not be a member of the Elks or spouse of an Elks member
