Custodian

We are seeking a reliable custodian/dishwasher to join our team at the San Luis Obispo Elks Lodge. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and take pride in maintaining a clean and well-maintained environment for our members and guests.

Position: Custodian/Dishwasher

Key Responsibilities:

– Clean and maintain all areas of the lodge, including bathrooms, common areas, and offices

– Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors

– Empty trash bins and replace liners

– Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment

– Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces

– Restock bathroom supplies and other consumables

– Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored

– Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures

– Wash dishes during lunch service or weeknight dinners

– Wash extra dishes that were not gotten to during previous shifts

– Occasionally help out with catering events

Requirements:

– Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required

– Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

– Attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards

– Reliable and punctual

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team

– May not be a member of the Elks or spouse of an Elks member

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour
